Kraft+ - July Challenge

Hello Everyone,

The current challenge over at Kraft+ is so gorgeous I couldn't resist playing along:

The challenge is so soft and pretty and includes music. I play the piano, and have done since I was really young and then studied music once I completed school.  My eldest daughter is learning the violin and my youngest is learning the recorder to prepare her for the flute. And my mother use to be a music teacher. So I just had to play along with this challenge.

My layout (digital), which has photos of my eldest daughter playing at her first concert:

I was inspired by the colours on the cake stand and cake, the pretty pink flowers, the rolled flowers, the heart shape, feathers, and also the touch of both pale and bright blue from the upper right image on the challenge board.

Scrapaneers - July Challenge

Hello Everyone,

Over at Scrapaneers, there is a challenge to post a layout that:

• uses the colours of your country's flag
• has patterned paper somewhere on the layout
• includes a title, and
• has at least 2 photos on the layout.

I decided to go for Australia's Olympic flag colours of green and gold as the Olympics are just around the corner and I am seeing green and gold everywhere in the lead up to this magnificent event.
So here is my take on the challenge:

Scrapaneers - Champions June and July

Hello Everyone,

Today I would like to share some layouts I created using tips and techniques from the monthly subscription for digital scrappers over at Scrapaneers called, 'Champions'. If you are interested in learning digi scrapping or want to improve your skill base, it is a fantastic place to take classes. There is something for everyone. For July, we are learning about changing papers and embellishments in the kit to make them suit our needs as well as how to add more interest by adding more detail to embellishments.

My layout for this month may not look as if I have used many techniques, but I have changed the papers by adjusting the colours and made a new paper with a stripe paper, created tags and added my own glitter, amongst other tehniques:
