So here is the fabulous sketch for this month, again by the very talented Emma Stafrace of Page Drafts:
And my interpretation:
I don't like cutting up photos, so had a really hard time with this aspect of the sketch. So instead, I had my photo printed twice, then raised the middle portion with the faces. In reality, it shows more so, than in the photo. But that's as far as I could go with this part of the sketch. I know I'm a goose!
I painted the Studio Calico Mistable hexagons with a combination of gelatos and Mr Huey's mist. The banner is a mask that I had swiped with gelatos then sprayed with water before pressing down on the paper. The drips underneath are from when I had turned the mask over to place down. I then gave a little definition with coloured pencil and black pen.
All the paper is from Kaiser, as well as the chipboard birdcage. The bird is Prima.
Hope to see you join us and do a braver job of cutting up a photo than I did!:-)
The challenge ends at the end of the month. Hope to see your layout soon!
Thanks for coming by.
Zeneva I'm the same about cutting up photos so I'm thinking that I Must give this challenge a try. Your idea looks great on this layout.
