I am so excited for Em Stafrace of The Nifty Pixel who has just opened a shop at The Digi-Chick:

Scrap Our Stash - July Sketch Challenge

I solved the case as so:

Colours: I used all the colours

Evidence: banners, arrows, stars, hanging something, window, flair, metal, signs, stripes.

Testimony: I used the words, 'summer' and 'run' (or rather, 'running') in my journaling which reads:

                         Summer brings much joy. Playing outside, running over the sprinkler

                         and being together.  Laughing and building memories. This is what

                         summer means to us.                                                February | 2014

Some Digi Layouts

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing some digi layouts that I created just for the fun of it. My children went to a Disco party last weekend and included in their 'lolly-bag' were some huge glasses. My last post had my eldest daughter with hers, and today is my younger daughter. Next time I'll do my son. They had such an 'awesome' time at the party and the glasses and blow-up microphone (also included in the lolly-bag) have given them great enjoyment since. How cool is that?

After looking at the above photos of my daughter, I looked at some older ones and thought, 'geez - how time flies'. I never scrapped the photo below, but wanted to keep a more special visual record of it, and scrap it this time using a QuickPage. This means, that the digital page is already done, there is just a spot for the photo to be slipped in. Bits can also be added to the layout. In this case, however, I left the page as is, and just added the photo and the date. Simple and quick! The photo was from 2011. It really reminded me to enjoy each moment with my children. They grow so quickly. I think the first 5 years seem to go on forever, but once they start school - oh my goodness, it just rushes by!

June Champions Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Recently I have joined a digital subscription whereby there is a monthly kit and videos with new techniques to learn. I joined to better my digital skills. So far, it's been brilliant! It's called Champions and held at Scrapaneers. Classes are taught by Tiffany Tillman. I have taken classes from her before which I have really enjoyed and learnt so much from.  I love her clear explanations and style.

Every month, there is a challenge held in the forum. This month is to:

• Fix a photo by adjusting white balance, exposure or alignment (or whatever else needs fixing).
• Make a color photo really pop by using the Color Match tool.
• Pump up your title or the overall design of your page with paint, word strips, alphas, fonts, etc.
